Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actress. The actress was featured in a number of films including European and American. The most well-known role she played was in the film drama comedy "La Dolce Vita". It was a critical and commercial hit, as well as winning an Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. Before pursuing her acting career her Swedish birthplace, she was working as a fashion model for international magazines. Then, she took home the Miss Sweden Contest. In the US her first appearance was in films playing minor roles. She played the Venusian Guard in 'Abbott & Costello's Journey to Mars. It was her first film credit. After appearing in 'Blood Alley and 'Blood Alley,' she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising newcomer.' Her work included a variety of films, including the American/Italian War drama film War and Peace, the Western "Valerie," the British crime thriller The Man Inside and the The French/Italian Drama The Dam on the Yellow River.'
