Andrea Elson

Andrea Hope Elson, an American model and actress, is now a retired actor. Elson began her career on TV as a child model as well as actress. Her best-known role is Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson in CBS"Sci-Fi. Andrea auditioned for and was awarded the role of Lynn Tanner on the hit series ALF (1986). Andrea continued working for many years on various popular TV shows as well as Movies of the Week before leaving the entertainment business to focus on raising her family. Andrea Elson's job as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teen daughter was not easy for her. In 2000, people reported that she was struggling to grow as an individual woman in front of the viewers of sitcoms. When she was in New York City in 1969 Elson grew up in a world of traveling because her father was a salesman who traveled. Prior to turning ten, she'd lived in New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. Andrea was living in San Diego when she met an agent, and the role for which she auditioned won. Fusco agreed with the notion by explaining, "ALF can drink beer because he is older than 285." As ALF gained more popularity with young children, NBC informed Fusco you can't have him drinking when the children are watching it's a bad image to model. Fusco still believed ALF was an adult and could manage the drinking. In 1995, he was found to have lymphoma. The cancer was successfully treated and he remained in full Remission throughout the course of his existence. The illness ended his life on the 26th of June, 2019, at 75 years old. He died at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
